Organic in Nature

Organic in Nature

I don’t particularly love winter time because the trees are bare and the flowers are gone making for a very dry and bare landscape.  What I do love about Winter is going skiing in the mountains and seeing white everywhere I look.  White is at the top of one of my favorite colors and I tend to navigate to it even in fashion.  Did you know that the colors you feel best in should be also reflected in your home?

I am seeing such a trend for organic shapes in interior furnishings.  What I didn’t realize when pulling together a combination of these pieces was that I was finding white and ivory to be the color of a lot of the pieces I am loving.  While I don’t recommend following trends in interior design I do like to have a few pieces here and there that make for a space that is textural, interesting and flows.  Organic shapes do just that - they shout art to me in the most minimalistic way and I love how they compliment a good squared plinth table or waterfall edge on a sofa table.  The mix of curves and straight lines should be balanced in a room to keep it dynamic and exciting.

So if you are on the hunt for some pieces that bring movement into your living spaces then take a look at these.  All of these are available through Trisha Troutz Interiors so just reach out if you are wanting to place an order.
